The Syrian American Forum salutes Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard for her courage in visiting Syria and audaciously speaking publicly about this visit. On behalf of our community and compatriots we say: THANK YOU TULSI. WE ARE PROUD OF YOU.

Congresswoman Gabbard has staunchly voiced her opposition to the war on Syria. She undertook to be a lone honest voice in calling the facts as they are: “The U.S. must stop supporting terrorists who are destroying Syria and her people. The U.S. and other countries fueling this war must stop immediately. We must allow the Syrian people to try to recover from this terrible war”.

Whereas American politicians and media relied on propaganda of false facts spread by the war mongers in the U.S. and other countries supporting terrorism, Ms. Gabbard distinguished herself by looking for real facts. She defied all pressures and went as far as visiting Syria, meeting real Syrians and examining facts on the ground.

Because of this courage and honesty, Congresswoman Gabbard is facing a vicious campaign of distortion aimed at both her person and policies. We should all express our appreciation and support, among the community, with our American friends and all throughout the world. That is why SAF urges every honest and patriot to write her expressing support and encouraging her to continue on this path.
